Anybody know if Jaguar’s “Greensand” paint is the same as the Jensen Healey Mustard in 1974? I order a touchup can so we will see. I need something to match as I touch up the floor pans in prep for new carpet. Can’t find a specific Jensen Mustard paint but seems like it was a popular color for Brit’s in 1974 so there must be a match in another manufactures line. Thanks

Since Jaguar and Jensen had no direct connection I'd guess similar not the same. Even if it was the same color matching 50 year old paint is at best hit or miss.

I have been able to get a reasonable match by taking a sample (eg the headlight surround) to a paint shop and ask them to use their laser scanner to make up a few spray cans. It's never quite perfect but close. The best result I have had was from a local hardware store who just mixed me up a tin of paint for metal surfaces; I use it to touch up small areas or spots where the finish isn't super important, like the engine bay. Saves a lot of masking off too.
