I have owned 17897 (a 1974 four-speed) for over 30 years. Once I graduated college and needed a car that actually got me to work regularly, it stopped being my daily driver. It fell into disrepair and I've had it sitting in my garage now for many years. My project for this fall is to make it roadworthy again, and hopefully get it into condition to be a weekend driver by next spring.

Welcome to the forum! Please feel free to ask questions and make comments. There are some multiple Jensen owners near you. Good luck with the project,

Thanks, Kurt. I've met David Miller and he has referred me to a good mechanic, who has the car now. I've made one previous attempt at bringing the car back into running condition myself, but realized after I got into it that I had neither the time nor the skills. This time around, I'm going to seek much more outside help.
