For Sale 1976 Jensen Healey GT, VIN # 30467, all original, 55,765 miles, very good condition and perfect for use as a daily driver. This car is one of 511 manufactured and has been well maintained and garaged. The paint is in great condition and in the original color (metallic Saturn Gold). This car has had 4 owners with the first 2 being father and son. This is a California car. It is smogged and registered. For 15 years it was rarely used. To return it to a road worthy state the then owner reports completion of the following:
new water pump, new battery, new tires, new belts, hoses, clutch, timing belt, front pads, fuel pump and cylinders. The brake system was flushed, fuel tank boiled, and carburetor rebuilt. The present owner, owner for the last 2 years, has continued to provide loving care and invoices evidencing the maintenance are available. FREE TO A GOOD HOME Another barn find saved from the crusher: a Jensen Healey that is missing a drive train. This rolling chassis would be a perfect candidate for an electric car conversion or restoration. No paperwork. The floors are solid with surface rust. The rocker panel/sill area needs some metal patching in a couple of places. The convertible top is in surprisingly good shape. The front and rear bumpers and light surrounds and rear lights are missing -- which gives you a clean slate to restyle the nose to look like an AC 428 like Tara's (search "The Avengers"). The car steers. Tires need replacing. Surface rusty and rough exterior. It may pose a challenge to register without paperwork/engine. Easy to push round the yard if you pump up the tires. Brakes and wiring harness appear intact. Includes 1/2 pickup truck sized load of spares including a Lotus 907 engine block. For Sale 1976 Jensen GT. I bought this car off showroom floor of Ramsey McCue Motors in San Bernardino, California in June 1977. I drove the car all over the Inland Empire for 9 years. It was maintained by dealer, British Sports and Imports of Riverside and Dave's British Car Service in San Diego while I lived in Riverside and commuted to San Diego. In 1986 I moved to Los Angeles where car was maintained by Al Scrivner Lotus-Jensen Specialist in Culver City. The car has been in Franklin, Tennessee since 1992 and serviced by JD's British Cars in Nashville since then.
The car is has been painted once to restore its exterior and the alloy wheels' black has been anodized to prevent paint flaking there. The interior was restored in Los Angeles to exact original color (camel) and fabric (e.g. corduroy seats). The headliner, sun visors and rear deck carpet are most recent improvements. Air conditioning is still original and functioning. Blaupunkt AM-FM upgrade with power antenna installed by Al Scrivner. I have inch thick folder of maintenance and service records. Countless upgrades and R&R to suspension, drivetrain and under the bonnet (you'll have to see the records.) The car was a joy to drive in Los Angeles especially. I wish I had a dollar for every time I looked over at a stop light and saw the words "What is that?" being mouthed. It really turned heads and everyone wanted to know all about the car. For Sale 1973 Jensen Healey Originally titled in CA, this car somehow made its way to Connecticut and into my hands. Although this car had no rust, my intention was to do a total mechanical restoration with appropriate performance upgrades. That was roughly 25 years ago. I managed to disassemble it, install one-piece front fenders from a ’74 (those early two-piece fenders were awful) and have it repainted in yellow (was originally white). Shortly after that, I got distracted and she has languished, disassembled, in my garage ever since. Did I mention that this car has NO RUST? For Sale 1974 Jensen Healey, Lotus 907 DOHC 16 valve, 4 spd. This car is a pretty original, unmolested and well sorted example of the Marque, with less than 74k miles. There are Mags, hardtop, pen striping and a luggage rack from the original dealer. I added a roll bar, cassette stereo (w/cd pigtail) 4 speakers, 3 core radiator, fan shroud and PerTronix ignition. The carpets, convertible top, shocks, tie rod ends, ball joints, motor mounts, rebuilt starter/alternator, header, muffler and exhaust pipe, u-joints, wheel cylinders and rear suspension bushing have been replaced in the last 7+ years. The timing belt and bearings are being replaced. Also there is the repair manual comes with the deal too. It’s a great little car and fun to drive. I’ve saved original parts for the purest and there are some new ones still in the box. There are additional photographs on request. $7,000.
