my Jensen Healey worth? In general, a running, functional Jensen Healey or Jensen GT in California goes from $4,000 to as high as $25,000 for exceptional, high quality restorations. Very nice, unmolested, stock, low mileage examples will tend to be in the $5,000 - $8,000 range. Non-runners go from $0 to about $1,000. High-end examples may have Lotus 907 engine performance modifications, (2.2 liter stroker crankshafts, high compression pistons, performance cams, 45mm Dellortos) paint and interior upgrades (custom wood, custom leather, etc.) besides being in show or near show condition. Real show condition Jensen Healey are not common. In general, deduct for other, non-Lotus engine conversions. The car's value for upgrades will weigh heavily on the tastefulness of the upgrades. Again, deduct considerably for badly modified examples (i.e.: aluminum dashboards, extensive use of non-English components or Ferrari badges/tail lights on the back).

For Sale 1973 Jensen Healey. Great condition New belts including timing belt, tires, plugs, points, condenser, front brakes, hoses, exhaust, carpeting inside and trunk, 2 year old battery. Runs but has Stromburg carburetor system, needs tweaking. Interior great, no cracks or splits, soft top no leaks, separate hardtop needs minor work. For Sale 1973 Jensen Healey. Red with black interior. This sports car, a nice driver, is in excellent running condition and the body and paint are in excellent shape. The drive train is a rebuilt 2.0 liter DOHC 16 valve Lotus engine with Dellorto carburetors and a 4-speed manual transmission. Engine does not leak or burn oil, clutch shifts very smoothly. Complete repaint including engine bay completed in 2006. Tan color convertible top replaced before repaint in 2006 but has always been kept down and covered. New Clarion AM/FM/Cassette and 6 CD Changer. The car comes with 2 sets of wheels (one of which are the original JH rims), tires on both sets of wheels are in very good shape. In April 2013 the car was inspected by Britalia Motors in Fullerton, CA (a shop specializing in British classic cars). At that time they replaced the carburetor needles and seats, installed a new master brake cylinder, battery and cooling system hoses and replaced the brake, oil & coolant fluids. I have invoices from Britalia for prior maintenance repairs done between 1998 and 2006.
The new owner will have a huge head start to make a nice show car with minor work/replacement and/or repairs. Additional parts included with car: roll bar with padding, spare valve covers, head gasket, original brake master cylinders, other misc parts, and several factory and aftermarket repair manuals. SOLD 1974 Jensen Healey, Very good overall condition and runs great. VIN 16127. Well maintained and always garaged. Owned for 20 years. 49K original miles. Repainted in original colors in 1997. Many newer parts including, roll bar, floor pans, carpets, high end canvas top, clutch, battery, complete brake system incl. ceramic disc brakes, fuel tank, coil springs, windshield, stainless exhaust. For Sale 1973 Jensen Healey, VIN 10908. Engine runs strong, doesn't use oil, good compression test. Body is in fair shape: floor panels need repairing, several small spots of surface rust on upper body. The hood has some damage, dings on front bumper. Interior looks good apart from torn steering column cowl, 2 small holes in upholstery and wood facia needing replacing. Recent repair work includes: replaced rear trans seal, replaced front suspension upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends and steering rack boots; replaced rear brake pads and calipers; replaced coil. For Sale 1973 Jensen-Healey. I am the third owner. It is always garage kept and stored winters. The white exterior and black lettering are spotless. The black interior is in great condition. The am/fm cassette radio works but the best sound comes from that distinctive exhaust down a winding road. It has an inline dohc 4-cylinder (16 valves) alloy block Lotus engine. Bore (in./mm) 3.75/95.232.73/69.3. Displacement (cid/cc) 120.5/1,973. Horsepower 140 bhp @ 6,500 rpm. Torque 130 lbs @ 5,000 rpm. Compression ratio 8.4:1. Dual side mounted Stromberg carburetors. Convertible top is in really good condition but needs better snaps, but I have never driven it in the rain. For Sale 1974 Jensen Healey 62,602 Miles, VIN: 17780, 2.0 Lotus Engine, Metallic British Racing Green, Professionally restored in 2001. Kept in garage or heated storage since then. Photographic record of restoration and full documentation of subsequent repairs. Recently inspected by mechanic specializing in classic cars (report available for review upon request). Includes hard top, extra set of rims and tub of spare parts. The paint has some small cracks, there is a slight tear in one of the seats and the soft top has two tears where it hooks up to the car.
