I'm rebuilding using a later high compression head. This has a fitting at the front and a tapped hole for the temp. sensor at the rear. I'd planned on blocking both those off and plumbing this in as I would do for the stock head.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

James

If you have a turbo water pump, the hole at the rear should be connected to it with heater hose.

I've a stock type water pump.

But would you recommend trading that for a trubo one?

It'd be easy now with the eingine all in bits out of the car, not so easy later.

The Scottish weather is also rather less challenging in its temperatures than many locales....

I wouldn't worry about it in your case. A good running engine and 3 core radiator won't overheat even here in California. The Turbo waterpump is a rather expensive bit.

Just plug the hole and forge ahead.
