Anyone have a source for a 912 complete motor?

i would suggest Judson and if he doesn't have one for you, then you might try Gary Kemp in the UK.

hope this helps

Have a good selection of bits, problem I have with them is they don't take credit cards so difficult to pay, if you live overseas.

Sylva,

I have them bookmarked.  Another problem is that the excahnge rate US/UK is terrible and shipping is quite high as well.  If you factor in the 2.2 upgrade components to a 907 and the overall better heads, oil pressure, etc on the 912, the 912 is very attractive.  Motor mounting is the only real issue that I am currently aware of.

Is the 912 the motor version that interferes with the Chassis Rails?

I'm quite happy with my tricked out 907............

Good stuff, no matter what the source, don't come cheap!

As I understand it the 910-912 engine is significantly wider than the 907.

I have a 910 block and a 911 block, and my mate and I have his 912 engine on the workbench. if you want the measurements to check if you can fit it let me know

i understood it is wider because of a improved sump design and also it is stronger/stiffer then the 907 design needed for the higher horsepower/torque..  If you'd 10 dowel the 907 sump and make improvements to stop oil climbing up the wall in those high speed corners then you should be fine. Garry Kemp did this with my 2.2 910/907 hybrid engine.

Both Garry Kemp and Judson have fitted a 910 (or 910/907 hybrid in Judson's case) in their JH. Judson can tell you exactly how/what you need to change/alter to your subframe.

Yes, it is quite a bit wider and there is more material on the bottom end for sure.  I am just looking at all the options I have before I spend my money.
