The data on my Jensen Healey: 1973, build date 11/8/73 (which I believe is August 8th), VIN# 13209, engine B7306 3283. The car has not run since the early 90s but was stored inside and the engine turned over with Marvel Mystery Oil annually. The body is in good restorable condition with only minor rust in the floors. It has a hardtop by Custom Hardtops of Long Beach (no longer in business I believe) and a roll bar. I got it 3 years from the second owner who had it since 1979. The car is complete, even the original tool kit. It came with an extensive history and original owners Manual, wiring diagram and a copy of the workshop manual. The JH currently resides in Maitland Florida with it's big brother, my 1961 frame off restored Austin Healey 3000 BT7...

First off Happy New Year to everybody. Here are the GTs that I presently own:

GT 30131  its white has about 70,000 miles on it. Has an unusual blue Jensen badge on the hood instead of the usual red badge and has an unique brown interior which Rick(ard) Calver states that is original. The first 20,000 miles it spent as being a Jensen Motors test car being driven all over the English countryside. I have to install another brake booster on it before I sell it. Runs great just doesn't stop well in its present state.

GT 30267 black with 38,000 miles on it. Had a little engine fire and needs a few items replaced. Interior is updated and has a few dents and nicks that need to be attended to before it goes on the block.

GT 30302 this is the GT that is on the JHPPG with the burned up roof and interior. The guy who sold it to me had recently spent $4800 on the engine and another $1600 on the suspension all of which was not damaged in the fire. I plan on chopping off the roof of this car and replace it with one I got from GT 30249. Presently its white and had that Paisley print interior.

GT 30464 ah, the best for last. this is probably the rarest GT in the world since its a quadruple black GT (interior, exterior, vinyl roof and door inserts are all black) there were only 2 of these made and the other one, GT 30505, was last heard of in 1995 and being somewhere in England. I chromed or polished many of the engine parts and with its all original paint makes it stand out in the various car shows that it has attended winning numerous awards. It has about 70,000 miles on it and driven me to Jensen Nationals in the states of New York, Baltimore, Tennessee without any problems at all. It sorta looks like a hearse for little people and never fails to grab everyone's attention.

JH 12579, Engine B04 2627 original.  Fair condition, needs fiberglas bonnet replaced.  I've never been happy with perfomance even though Mark Rosenbaum rebuilt the Strombergs for me.  Just got a set of used Dellortos.  My British car mechanic doesn't think much of Strombergs. :^)

I am also aware of a JH-5 red with low miles and a Huffaker race car that are both located in Iowa City.  Sorry I don't know the VIN's.  But both cars are amazing.  The gentleman who owns the cars actually has a tow rig that stacks the cars on top of each other.

It is quite a sight seeing them around town.

Greg, how many Jensen Healey cars are still around and on the road or being restored? Are you getting the feedback you hoped to get. I sent my information early. I think I was the fourth person to respond. Looks like a lot more have responded but is this all there is out there?

While looking for some small parts I found the VIN dash tag for 15011 in a box of parts that I bought off of Ebay. I will presume that 15011 is stripped and no longer amungst the living.

I bought #15088, build date Jan 15, 1974 as a parts car, it is rusted so bad that in lifting the hood I bent it, then the hinges completely pulled off the body.  It has a hardtop and engine # 73 12 5258.  As a small consolation, among a batch of paperwork with it was the latest dated item, a 1991 ticket from the California Highway Patrol for 75 in a 55 mph zone

2 cars 17567- 1974 Steel bumper car - tangerine. I have owned since 1988.  Currently off the road to be back on this summer.  104 cams dellorto 45's balanced, port and polished, etc.  Needs paint to be nice.

15551 - 1974 steel bumper - black - owned since 1994?  Basket case.  Many spares including rocker panels and fenders.  Should probably be a parts car, but has not been parted.

VIN 15223

Condition - On the road but needs some TLC.

Mostly stock.  Have replaced floor pans and boot floor.

Still need to fix rust in fenders and possibly rocker panels.  Will find out when the fenders come off.

Arghhh! I just wrote a long message about my fresh car, tried to include a pix of it which was refused and lost everything I had written.  Grrr.  I'm going to have to learn to use preview first.

So, to repeat but much briefer this time, I'm giving notice that 17418 and 19295 have been crushed.  They were rusted far beyond repair, but parts of them live on in 19377, which is now on the road.  And it's so much fun that we're arm wrestling over who gets to drive it to work.  It's an excellent car for my daily 1/2 hour commute along California's spectacular Hwy 1 (eat your heart out).  Non-stock darkish red/ black interior, Madera's burlwood, stock engine except for 104/107 cams and DellOs, 5 speed/ 4 speed rear axle.

And I've acquired 15244, unknown engine #, as yet another parts car.  Black/tan/4 speed.  Needs a lot of work to be roadworthy so probably won't ever be but a good parts car.

No picture attachment this time.... you'll just have to wait to see it.

Data from Clif (timeforwalkies)
VIN 19714.  Original engine number
B74 12 1065 now on stand.
1974 5 speed with rubber bumpers.  Purchased Dec 1974 from Oakland British Motors.  Not the collector car they said it would be.
Purchased by present owner in Oakland, Ca and now in Santa Rosa, Ca.
74,000 origional miles.  Still on second set of CN36's and in pretty good shape considering.
Replace clutch at 65,000 miles and did all work.  Except valve adjustments.  No guts.
Garage queen since 1996.
Project complete.  2.2 full conversion including 45's,  head by West Coast Racing with 104 cams, Full Pertronix, and Lotus valve covers.  Work completed by Huffaker Eng. at Sonoma Raceway
2.2 Rebuilt engine is B74 09 9266.  No knowledge of where this engine came from.
In Oct of 2017 this car saved my life as I had planned to leave it in a field in hopes it would survive the Santa Rosa fire.  It would not have and it's spirit somehow blew the keys to my 1986 Westfalia out of sight in the dark night and I had to run back to the JH and drive out through the fire lapping at our driveway.  Only damage was a scorch mark on the hood, top and a few on the seats and carpet.  I now call her Christine.  I did lose the original engine and a huge quantity of spare parts I had been collecting for years

Second car is for parts.  Runs but needs help.  Gas tank and battery will get this car back on the road.
VIN 18928.  Don't know if engine is original but Number is B74 09 8949
1974 4 speed.
The second car has moved on.  Sold in October.  Now in the hands of an obsessed NOBBC member it is a running and drivable  JH and is now ready for it's rebirth ride on New Years day, 2011.This car did not do as well as it burned and is no longer with us.  Sorry for your loss DC.  This fire hurt a lot of people.
Good luck DC.

Question:  Is there a record of the VIN number/engine number that makes these cars matching number cars?

GT 30450 - white with a tan interior.  Exterior is undamaged but suffers from an inexpensive respray.  Interior is completely original and shows little wear.  Currently around 94,000 miles.
