Hello everyone! 11214 is on the road. I installed a new blue Gates timing belt (from JHPS) and used the Gates app to set it to a consistent 105 Hz. I also replaced the tensioner bearings (also from the JHPS). I read here that the tension/readings will go up when the belt is warmed up so I measured it and it came out at 135 Hz. Does anyone know the acceptable range when hot? I don't hear any whining or anything making me think that it's too tight. I *may* be a bit cautious as this is the first timing belt that I've installed. Also, does anyone have any pictures of a Gates blue belt that's been run for a while? I just want to see what the wear looks like on a known good belt to compare with mine Thank you, Mark

I see that Tim E. mentions 125Hz for a black belt in this thread: http://www.jensenhealey.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=2253&forum_id=2

But the black belt tension does not apply to the Blue belt. The Blue belt is thicker, stiffer, heavier... all things that will affect frequency response. Tim
