The black lower paint on my rear bumper was scratched badly so i stripped it off with my custom paint stripper (half Methal hydrate and half lacquer thinner) then polished the whole thing by hand to a mirror finish with Mothers chrome polish Looks 100% New would never know the bottom was painted and adds some bling.

I did it with a car Polish machine, depending on the polish stuff it Will give a stunning result.

I there are a lot of scratches use a lower grind first, for the big shine a high grind.

One of the things I love about the Jensen-Healey is all the polished S/S used in place of chrome. The chrome on my Austin-Healey needs regular attention to look good, the S/S on the Jensen does not.

I just love these little cars, because most of the people who just know of them think they're crap, they're not of course.

At our local monthly Brit car get together the MG guys won't even come over and talk to us which just makes me laugh. As far as I'm concerned if you want to pay twice as much for half the car (MG), knock yourself out. There's not a single category where the J/H won't whip an MGB's ass, including comfort. Not that it really matters but I think the J/H even gets better gas mileage.
