Does anyone have experience with the intake manifold offered by Pierce Manifolds for Weber/Dellorto carbs?

It appears to be very similar to the European Dellorto manifold, but is apparently a new part. It's available on eBay for about have the price listed on the Peirce website, so pretty economical if it actually performs well.

Steve,

The manifolds (5 available) being offered by Pierce are original NOS parts, not reproductions. The only thing is that, from the photos posted, I can't tell if it's a 907/ 912 manifold (longer runners) or a short-runner 910 manifold. For street use on a naturally aspirated engine, the long runner manifold would help produce a stronger low end of the power curve. For a motorsports engine that will see full throttle a lot, the short manifold runner is advantageous.

If you want a new manifold, the price is probably in the ball park. However, used manifolds are available from Lotusbits in the UK

Elite-Eclat: http://lotusbits.com/elite_engine.html
£40 Dellorto Intake Manifold for 907
£20 Dellorto Air Horns, set of 4
£40 Airbox, Elite & Eclat

Esprit: http://lotusbits.com/esprit_engine.html
£100 Dellorto Intake Manifold, short for 910
£150 Dellorto Intake Manifold, long for 910

J-H Part Number 93552 = Lotus P/N A907E0123Y

Thanks for the info!

Interesting you should mention Lotusbits. I'm visiting their shop when I'm in the UK next week. I may have to see if Mike still has any of those manifolds on the shelf.

That could be cool. I've talked with Mike, but have never met him in person. He's a good guy, and seriously into motorsports. Ask him for a demo of one of his 2.5 liter stroker Lotus 912 engines... a streetable 300 Hp. He sells the parts kits, but the price will make your eyes water.

Tim Engel
