Put the trans on a jack and pull off the trans mount. Then lower the jack while raising the front of the engine. I installed my engine with the header in place. Kurt

I think the header has to be off to be able to raise the engine enough to get the new mounts in. At least with the stock header you can replace the motor mounts without pulling the engine, you just have to do things in the right order! I have done it, so I know it can be done... You have to remove the right hand side motor mount first. Then you can shift the engine far enough to the right while tilting it to the right that the left motor mount comes off. Replace in opposite order. -- Joachim
