I was wondering if any one has photos of the z-bar, bell crank setup... I don't have the parts to use as reference and will need some sort of visual aid when it comes time to fab this up... unless I'm mistaken and it's cable actuated? Any pointers, photos and descriptions are appreciated!

Comes out by the brake servo, then loops around the front of the engine. You can't miss it.

You're probably right, if I had a JH in front of me, I couldn't miss it... As I only have an engine and transmission, it's a little fuzzy...lol! Any pics?

Here's A photo of the front left bottom of engine.

Send an email to peteb01@comcast.net, and I'll send you a couple more.

What's a Z-bar?

What's a bell crank?

Oh...! Z-bar and Bell crank are kind of interchangeable terms for the same thing, but basically, it a tube with two arms welded perpendicular to the tube to actuate the clutch in older vehicles... Older Camaros had them... There is a "ball" that screws into the rear of the engine block on the drivers side that the tube slips over... When you push the pedal in, it pushes one arm on the tube, which is rotating on the ball in the block, pushing the other arm on the tube towards the clutch throw out fork, attached by a threaded rod for adjustment as the clutch wears... Pretty sweet setup for close quarters, but hell on the calf if you've got a heavy clutch...lol!

There's a nice sized exploded view about half way down the page or so.. the kink in the horizontal tube is NOT a 90' kink, just a little "chicane" if you will...
