MY TOP I THINK IS ORIGINAL AND IS VERY STIFF TO THE POINT THAT IT WILL NOT REACH THE TOP OF THE WIND SCREEN LATCHES. DOES ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION SUCH AS A SPRAY THAT WILL RELAX THE CANVAS. ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.

I HAVE USED WD40 ON THE FRAME JOINTS BUT DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK.

Aloha Gary,

I haven't had this problem with the top per se but I have with the tonneau cover.  What worked for me was to let it sit in the sun for a while and then it stretched out enough to fit.

Besides the tip for letting the sun shine on it, all the frame rails should have plastic bushings that the screws go thru with lock nuts on the back, they should not be tight but not to sloppy either.

Also the top adjustment (tension) comes from the mounting plate on either side of the car just behind the seats, if you are really stuck just loosen the plate up a bit and let it down a tad, but doing this can get difficult in trying to get the proper tension and may require alot of adjustments.

Good luck

Brett

Ps. STOP SHOUTING
