I want to replace the rubber fuel lines on these 45s with braided line and AN fittings, but I am unfamiliar with the sizing criteria of both fittings and line. Can someone who has done this please tell me what parts I will need to purchase? As everything I need will be mail order, specifying the wrong part size to the supplier will be time consuming and expensive for me.

Thanks

J Dymond

I don't recommend the braided fuel lines and AN fittings, I've seen and heard of a lot or fires and close calls on the 907 based on fuel leaks from those. When they fail, which is at a very high rate and much more often than any regular fuel hose, they will not give you any warning. The proximity of a leaking fitting to the distributor is not good.

Thanks Greg;

You are not the first person that has pushed back when I have said I want to use this line and fittings on the car. I guess I should listen to good advice! So if I want to dress it up a bit, can you recommend anything other than hose clamps and rubber line? Or is keeping to the regular stuff the safest bet...

John, auto speed shops have a fake SS covering that can slip over regular gas hose and comes with a nut like cover that goes over the hose clamp.

Yeah! So that is what I am looking for! Are those not AN and braided line? If not, what is it?
