Just in time for my start up. After 2 years putting the mechanics together it was time to fill-r-up and let-r-rip. I had purchased the tank in'05 prior to the revelations on the JHPS site. Sure 'nuf Geppeto's tank leaked at one of the wanky welds. Fortunately I used kerosene. Nothing a little TIG can't fix. Part of my weekly inspection will be a boot sniff test.

2/17/10 update After repairing one leak another came to its funeral. Enough!! took it to a Tank-Renu franchise in Stockton. His assessment was that it was made of a very soft un-alloyed aluminum and "rolled" into shapes. "A very poor material choice" It will be pressure tested at 4psi, all leaks welded up and coated inside and out. Hecho in Mexico, ole!

Ugh! That's too bad John. Tank Renu is certainly your best option to be sure it never leaks again. They really do have a good process that is permanent.
