It's time to atone for years of hack wiring.  After looking at wiring diagram 97020 by Delta, why is alternator output split?

 1-brown (N-3-DB) to the battery and 1 brown (N-11-SC) to the starter motor.

Why are wires (N-1-SP) and (N2-SP) that originate from the battery junction not fused?

Where would I locate a Lucas alternator plug?

Thanks, it did not occur to me to look there.  Meanwhile I located a site called "British Wiring Inc" out of Pennsylvania 1-888-461-9050.  Great site.  Lots of stuff.  Lucas 16ACR alternator plug $4.50

Good comments on the British Wiring website, but...

Posting prices from other websites undermines the Club Store which helps to support this website.

Shop wisely but keep Delta Motorsports and the Club Store in business so you can get Jensen specific parts when you need them. I also like to shop at 3:00am at the Club Store!

These are my own opinions. Let me know your thoughts on the matter.

I was curious about the alternator split, too. It looks like one lead goes to the battery and the other goes to the starter, connected directly to the lead that goes from the starter to the battery.

Most LBCs, in my understanding, just have one wire, from the + of the battery to the starter, and then to the alternator and the rest of the car's circuitry.

The best I can guess is that the direct lead from the alternator to the battery saves some of the resistence created by the extra wire going to the battery...

When I re-wired recently , I took 2 #10's from the alternator to a positive distribution bus.  I also installed the Hi-torq Nipondenso E-bay starter with a #4 to the bus and a #4 negative (also from a negative distribution bus) directly to the starter bolt. No smoke yet.  I used Ancor marine grade wire for these connections
