Has anyone found a good source for the "Thackeray" or "spring" washer used in carb. plate to intake manifold connection. Are the nuts just Nyloc or another type of lock-nut due to possible heat degradation. Half of my Thackery's were broken when I took off carbs to rebuild.

Thakery washers are available many places: the JHPS store, Moss motors, Ebay... Google it. The original lock nuts on my car were metal. I don't think they had Nyloc back then. Nylock seems to work OK, though I think metal ones last longer. Metal ones seem to be harder to locate nowadays. McMaster-Carr has a good selection. https://www.mcmaster.com/locknuts

Thanks for quick reply. New to store and didn't look far enough. They are on the way.
