Your first J/H likely still had it's original two row radiator, switching to a three row radiator will solve your overheating problem. When I got my J/H in '93 it still had the two row and it overheated on hot days and in stop and go traffic. I switched to a three row and have had no overheating problems since. I got got mine (brass) from Delta around '94 or '95 I don't recall what it cost. For $180 what have you got to lose.

Just ordered one, it looks like and has the same dimensions as the Champion radiator and is TIG welded. I'll let everyone know how it fits and performs.

The radiator arrived last night and I got installed today. I did have to slightly enlarge one mounting hole but otherwise the fit is excellent. We will see how it handles out hot SW Missouri summer! FYI the seller was GPI Racing on Amazon. Not sure who the actual manufacturer is but it looks just like a Champion. Last edited on 05-28-2026 05:29 pm by ShellKnobCat |
