Hello, I am new here, I recently bought a Jensen GT from the original owner. He was having it gone through, had new floor pans put in, engine gone through, bodywork done, interior re-covered, but unfortunately, he lost steam due to the shop closing and he was unable to finish it due to health reasons. I was looking for a MGB-GT for a fun get around car, but saw this and had to have it. I am used to British motorcycles, such as Nortons, Ariels, Triumphs, etc, but jumped on this one. So far, I have painted it British racing green and am figuring what all I need. Tricky bits seem to be headliner and interior carpet. I am posting my progress on youtube, and if allowed, will post a link here, but in the meantime, here is a picture of it with my son, Vincent, who climbed in on his own (he was on his bicycle hence the helmet)! Congrats on your acquisition and well come to the club. The Jensen GT is quite an upgrade from an MGB-GT in performance, handling, roominess, and comfort. Also they're quite rare they only built around 611 of them. There are a number of suppliers both here in the US and in the UK. I'd start with Delta(US) and Martin Roby(UK) also Bruce Madden(red racer) has a lot of parts you can find him here on this site.

I was wrong there were only 511 built and not many of that number still around so good luck getting this one back on the road look forward to hearing your adventures. One more thing, a company in the UK is excellent for Jensen interiors, they used to be called ReJen but had a name change if you type in ReJen I'm sure you'll be directed to the new site. I ordered the whole interior for my J/H from them and upgraded to leather. I was very pleased with the result their quality is outstanding and I thought prices were reasonable. I figured the number was a typo, I had read 511. Thanks for the advice on the interior. The previous owner had all of the interior re-done, so, it saves me that expense, but I am missing the main carpet and headliner. I will look at them as an option! Thank you! Depending on your skill level, you could certainly do the carpet yourself. I have done it on a couple of cars. Not that difficult. Since you're in the States, you can call Delta Motorsports in Phoenix, AZ. deltamotorsports.com Send Mike an email and see if he has a carpet kit in stock. Or the UK suppliers. Lot of help here. Art
