I am about to send my wheels out to be blasted and powder coated with a clear powder coat. Has anyone tried to have the same done with the lug nuts themselves so that everything matches? I would like to have clean looking lug nuts, and at the prices they are going for now, it seems preferable to clean up what I have rather than replace them.

Don't clearcoat the lug nuts. The action of tightening them with cause the clear to peal off pretty quickly. Have them glass bead blasted instead. This will leave them with a bright look with a satin finish. Good luck, Colin http://jhppg.com/gallery/74-Jensen-Healey-15851
