I am installing a new ( used) dashboard to replace my cracked dash on my JH. I noticed the trim by the air vents is a little different than my original dash or any other JH dash I have ever see. It seems like an original modification and not added by a prior owner. The trim around the dash air vents matches the trim around the instrument pod with a bit of silver color. Does anybody else have this detail on their car? I am just curious. The serial # of this dash is 17891 John

My 74 JH has what appears to be a silver painted ring on the outer trim of the vents. The paint is about 30% worn off.
