Good idea. I was going to spray some light penetrating oil on the bearing but I'm not sure if spraying it on the outside of the bearing would allow it to penetrate enough to change the noise.

Yes. However I'm likely to drive up early on Saturday and drive back after dinner. I'm not sure the Jensen is up for the trip and my car *looks terrible* as I have had no time for working on aesthetics since I dragged it home.
