That way you don't accidentally dump it in the interior when removing the unit.

oh, and Stupid Jody Trick #348: When removing the heater hose connections, use your shop vac to suck all the water/coolant from the heater radiator. That way you don't accidentally dump it in the interior when removing the unit.
