 That sounds like the Lotus oil pan just might fit, I'll have a go tomorrow night. Tonight, Wife has arranged for a babysitter and wants to go to the movies.

I have found a welder who does good alu work, so plan B is to cut a corner off the oil pan. I hope it won't be necessary. Swapping oil pickups means waiting for parts from abroad as well as quite a bit of work tearing down and reassembling, so I won't do that due to uncertainty of waiting for parts to arrive in time.
