 I have noticed that Flex-A-Lite has a "Flex-a-lite model 365 Scirocco fan" that looks very interesting.  It is close in dimensions and only 2 1/2" deep which leaves me 3/4" with my 3 core radiator.  I do not know your clearance Ron but this is about as narrow as I can find with good airflow.
