Sounds familiar, Joel. I've had to do the same thing, but without as dramatic replacement: all new rubber lines/seals, and new rear shoes. Sometimes you just have to tear out all of the old, worn out stuff and replace it with new. If only we could do that with ourselves as well... Edward
