 I know a mechanic in Vista and one in Costa Mesa that could help you.  I'd offer to help but you know more about it than I do - you've tried to do it a few times!

I have no idea but I would try to clean out the bolt holes really good.

When you get her up and running drop me a note.  I'm driving around SD all the time in mine.  We should meet up.  I know a couple other guys who like to get together and go for romps thru the hills. .. .
