I have installed the pod and used care not to over tighten. So far so good.

I cut two pieces of 1/4" plywood (appox. 3/4" X 1 1/4"), centered the pieces over the screw holes, marked the border, and removed enough of the old foam to make a tight pocket for the plywood. I used Household Goop adhesive to glue them in place. I put enough on them on so it squeezed out when I clamped them in place. I have installed the pod and used care not to over tighten. So far so good.
