I'm rebuilding my 4 speed tranny.  Everything looks good with the exception of the 3/4 baulking rings which are shot.  I spoke with Bruce Madden the other day and he told me that if my 3/4 shift fork is worn I need to replace it or I'll strip another set of bauliking rings.

In addidtion Bruce said that the spring and ball in the shift fork must be set above 35lbs or it will pop out of gear.  If I understand correctly if there isn't enough force on the ball it slips out of gear and this wears the shift fork.

Does anyone have a picture of a "good" or "bad" shift fork for me to compare to?
