 Besides the 2 screws, the instrument pod is held in place by friction fit of a long post located in the top center of the rear of the pod.  Often it becomes corroded and will not slide making it very difficult to remove the dash pod.  If you can spray some lubricant on the post from under the dash it may help.  Here is a picture of the rear of a pod with the post in the center top.  http://jhppg.com/gallery/album58/new_dash_lights
