It seems to me that it should be shorter. The question I have is how short (or long) should it be? Assuming it reaches cleanly to the carb., is that fine?

I've recently installed a new choke cable, although it seems to be a little long. It seems to me that it should be shorter. The question I have is how short (or long) should it be? Assuming it reaches cleanly to the carb., is that fine?
