Hi All,

I know my car has been running a little rich and finally decided to do something about it. The idle circuit controls the mixture up to about 3500 rpm so I removed the idle air correctors and jets. I used a #53 machinist's drill bit and enlarged the air holes that were previously drilled with a #54. After carefully cleaning out the shavings by blowing on them :-)  I replaced the jets and reinstalled  everything. Total time was 10 minutes and there was no time to consume any wine. Zero glasses on Greg's scale!

The car still runs great and the stinky old car smell is gone. The idle went up about 300 rpm. I still need to rebalance the carbs with the 4 tube manometer.

For those of you with Dellortos, The idle jet holder (air corrector) is the key to fine tuning after you get in the ballpark with the proper idle jet.
