I've obtained one of those mr. gasket rubber gearshift boot things and it seems to fit really well. I cut off the base of it and one of the folds, leaving 3 complete folds in the rubber. One of those folds fits inside the bellhousing and the other 2 are on the outside, forming a decent connection.
