So I blame my obsessive behavior on childhood trauma. =:-( At some point I am going to need to connect the battery and do a smoke test. We all know what that means - letting the smoke out will cause much weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. I am impressed that you have enough Jensen owners to have a club of sorts. I will need to look on line and see if is such thing in the Portland area. It is such an obscure marque that I doubt it, but then that is why I chose a Jensen - it is obscure. I am also a bit nervous about startup. I put a longer duration on the exhaust cam (+10o) and set the MOPs at 115o. While that is not what Lotus did, it is a more modern configuration. It will run, but will it run well? Dunno. But I can always swap cams and timing around till I get something that I am satisfied with. The engineering nerd in me loves to tinker because once again, childhood trauma rears its ugly head... Haven't decided what to do about exhaust. The original setup had broken the rear exhaust hanger off the body so I welded on a hook. The section of the exhaust from the resonator back was beat to crap and rotten, so it got scrapped. I will probably have an exhaust shop build me one unless someone can tell my about a kit that will fit, sound decent, and I can install myself. In the Triumph world there are some that don't fit, some that sound like crap, and some that are no longer available. I gotta find a kit that doesn't fall into those categories.
