I will be pulling the head this week along with my mechanic who agrees that it is most likely a blown head gasket. He will check to see if the block and head surfaces are straight. Cylinder liner heights are within spec and if any cracks can be found.
Regarding a new head gasket I understand the Goetz gasket is no longer available. What are folks using now for head gaskets and were to buy? Is Delta the only source?

If you have doubts about the quality or durability of the head gasket, you could try the gasket from the Turbo Esprit.
I suspect that with a thorough inspection you will find something other than a weak head gasket as the source of the problem, but anything is possible.
