 The official build date was 12/31/1974 though I doubt it was actually built then. Back when I bought it 35+ years ago, all the JH-5's were described as year 1974 1/2. Apparently Jensen "started" them all in 1974, possibly to avoid having to make changed to meet the 1975 smog requirements. My car was first sold in CA in 1976, though I suppose it could have been sold first somewhere else and then brought here.
