I'll see if this setup works, it sits very nicely and seems to line up but I am going to be scrutinizing it in use. Truth be told my stock tensioner was always a problem, I think the pulley was sliding around on the bearings quite a bit. It had some minor alignment issues from time to time. I was always fiddling with it if I remember correctly. Going to be running the blue belt, hopefully that helps.

Is there a way to tell what year the engine is from it's serial number? I am not sure if this is the original engine in my 73.
