 yea that would work of course but wouldn't a plug be the way to go for a quick oil flush and change. drain out any contaminants, moisture, filings, and guck.
A plug would be not nearly as messy, quicker, less prone to failure if it does not seal........ Seems like a lot of trouble could have been averted for what is a basic service issue. I am going to look at my spare diff and look at tapping in a drain plug.
