The dash cap in my car was poorly installed and I decided to remove it. The clean-up of the glue was a PITB but the original dash that was underneath has better grain and feel. I used the Delta dash carpet to cover the cracks on the top.

The dash cap must fit perfectly around the fascia and at the bottom edge at the chrome strip. The piping around the fascia is likely to be ruined when the fascia is pulled out.

If you only have cracks on the top of the dash and don't need another big project, get the carpet.

Just my 2 cents.
