 I know this is an old subject, however I have wanted to change out my cracked original steering wheel but did not wish to pay the price for the adaptor, as I have already invested far more than ever anticipated in this car.

After much research, I found that the Grant adapter number 3597 fits perfect. Contrary to what I have read everywhere, I can not find a single adapter for an old GM that fit my 5/8" shaft.

The 3597 fits older Mazdas, and a couple Fords and cost me $24.00 at Pep Boys.

I ordered a 15" wood walnut wheel from Grant off Amazon for $125.00 and it looks great to me.
