I did a search, but may not have used the right terms so please be kind..
Anyway, took the left front fender {in the USA} or wing if you will {in the UK} off to address a massive undercoating mess.  Glad I did as I found a plastic gasket between the wing and the sill that had been riveted to the sill.  Is this a correct part?  I looked at the diagrams and didn't see it.
Anybody use something specific at this junction?  I'm thinking about using some thin, very thin, butyl tape to act as a seal...seam sealer proper will harden too much and silicone sealers can contain acids that attach the paint and steel.
