 I used a 16 gage version, that's all my local sheet metal shop can bend. It is screwed to the old bent up original. While I may not be able to jack the car from it without a long block, it does seem better than the lightweight structure the JH uses for a frame.

I also used bar stock to make the seat braces in the interest of rigidity.
