(10+) old.
The car runs. Can i just remove the old one and put the new one on without moving any of the gears. then set the tension.

I am replacing the old belt as it is several years (10+) old. The car runs. Can i just remove the old one and put the new one on without moving any of the gears. then set the tension. Thanks
