 Just wanted to show the tool I improvised to pull the halfshafts out:



Joined a cheap CE (Chinese Export) marked puller and an equally cheap CE slide hammer, got the job done in five blows or so. I had been struggling for an hour and a half with just the slide hammer, I just couldn't get it to transfer the energy and not slip off.
